That's where a commission begins. Whether you have a specific design in mind, a photograph you'd like transformed into intarsia, or simply an idea that needs a little creative interpretation, I can work with you to bring it to life in wood.
What Can I Create
Commissions can take many forms. I've created custom intarsia featuring wildlife, landscapes, portraits, family and military themes, logos, musical instruments and much more.
Some projects begin with a detailed photograph. Others start with nothing more than an idea. The fun is figuring out how to translate that idea into wood.
How It Works
Tell me your idea
Send me a message describing what you have in mind. Photos, sketches or reference images are always helpful.
We work out the details
We'll discuss size, materials, design, level of detail and any special requirements.
I'll create the design
I'll develop a preliminary concept and provide an estimate before any work begins.
Your piece comes to life
Once the design is approved, the real fun begins — selecting the wood, cutting, shaping, assembling and finishing your one-of-a-kind piece.
